Rick E. Matis, MD
Dr. Matis did undergraduate study at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana before pursuing his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. After earning his medical degree in 1976, Dr. Matis completed his residency at the University of Alabama, the College of Community Health Sciences. He received the Resident Recognition Award for teaching in 1979.
He is board certified in family practice and is a member of the Lafayette Parish Medical Society.
Dr. Matis is married and enjoys his family and fishing, with hunting as a close third.
