BIO:
Dr. Collins Thibodeaux is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who has been serving patients in Acadiana since 1997. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1984 and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Louisiana State University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Administrative Resident and received the Student Teaching Award.

Dr. Thibodeaux is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. His professional memberships include the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Louisiana State Medical Society, Lafayette Parish Medical Society, and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Collins Thibodeaux has held numerous leadership and academic positions. He serves as President and CEO of Hamilton Medical Group and previously served as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has also served as Chairman of the Board and Governing Body at Lafayette Surgicare. At Women’s & Children’s Hospital, Dr. Thibodeaux held several leadership roles, including Chief of Staff, Secretary/Treasurer of the Medical Executive Committee and Chairman of Women’s Services. In addition, he served as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Louisiana State University Medical Center, where he contributed to the education and training of future physicians.

 

His practice focuses on comprehensive women’s healthcare, including general gynecology.

 

A native of Opelousas, Louisiana, Dr. Thibodeaux and his wife, Shawn, have two children, Lexie and Ash. He has been a member of Hamilton Medical Group since 1997.
